How Students Are Selected

The selection method depends on the class level, according to the official notice.

Nursery (Bangla and English Version)

For Nursery, the final selection is made through an interview and a lottery. This means the child’s family attends an interview first and then a lottery decides the final list.

Other Classes

For all other classes, students are admitted through an admission test (written exam). Students who succeed in the written exam are selected for admission.

Admission Test and Lottery Schedule 2027

The official notice lists the following dates and times:

Key Points About the Schedule

• Nursery interviews for both mediums happen on the same day (28 November 2026).
• The Nursery lotteries are on 2 December 2026, with the English version first and the Bangla version one hour later.
• The written exam for Class 1 (Bangla version) and Classes 3 to 9 (English version) is held on 5 December 2026 at 10:00 AM.

Written Exam Subjects, Marks and Duration

The notice states that the question paper will be prepared according to the syllabus of the class before the one the student is applying for. In other words, if a student is applying for Class 6, the questions will follow the Class 5 syllabus.

For KG to Class 5 Applicants

Exam duration: 1 hour

For Class 6 to Class 9 Applicants

Exam duration: 2 hours

This format means the exam tests the three core subjects only: Bangla, English and Mathematics. Students should focus their preparation on these subjects using the syllabus of their previous class.

Preparation Tips for the Admission Test

Since the written exam covers Bangla, English and Mathematics based on the previous class syllabus, preparation should be simple but consistent:

• Revise the previous class textbooks. If you are applying for Class 7, revise Class 6 Bangla, English and Math.
• Practice Mathematics daily. Math carries the highest marks (20 out of 50 for KG to Class 5, and 40 out of 100 for Classes 6 to 9).
• Work on English and Bangla basics. Reading comprehension, grammar and writing practice help in both languages.
• Time your practice. Practice within one hour for lower classes and two hours for Classes 6 to 9.
• Keep calm on exam day. Arrive early, carry the required documents, and avoid last-minute cramming.
• For Nursery, prepare for the interview. Help your child feel comfortable meeting new people and answering simple questions.
